idk how tf people come up with this shit. like some things should maybe just remain intrusive thoughts.
regardless, this was a cool little movie. the plot was pretty simple, but it is so fucked it keeps you hooked the entire time. i was waiting for shit to hit the fan the whole movie, and every time i thought it couldn’t get worse it somehow did.
the music was minimal, but it fit sooo well. i really like that detail. i also liked how it was gorey, but the gore was “tasteful”, especially since the subject matter was so gruesome.

ngl, the first half of the movie reminded me of the study about humans possibly suffering from zoochosis. the bright colors, the perfect city , and theodore’s perfect office building just screamed captivity.
the second half of the movie was kinda beautiful. like i think i enjoyed seeing theodore’s character growth more than i cared about his romance with samantha. however, samantha lowkey cheating with fucking alan watts had me dead.
