Suspiria 2018
Tilda, Thom Yorke soundtrack, witchcraft, palpable lesbian undertones, excellent visuals and sound design. It’s everything. I think this is my favorite Guadagnino film. Who else could remake such a classic while delivering a fresh and artful depiction of the occult? There are scenes where the storytelling gets a bit overblown (towards the end, it’s a bit cheesy) but that’s why horror movies are fun imo. I wanna be a dancer, or cult leader, I can’t decide. I’m gay for sure, maybe that’s why I love the dance sequences so much.

Tokyo Godfathers 2003
This is a very heart warming tale! Had me shed a few tears. I love the emphasis on found family. I don’t love how the trans character is treated in the plot, but I really adore how she’s written. Miss Hana’s haikus are my favorite part.
