  beautiful film. definitely deserves the oscar it got for special effects. upon rewatching i noticed something a little interesting— the first android prototype nathan creates depicts a typical blonde, tan and skinny “pornstar” stereotype. i don’t know if this was intentional by the director or not but it definitely cements the notion that he built these androids and “programmed them to be heterosexual”/made them appear as women for an explicitly sexual purpose. unsurprising since we’re supposed to see nathan as…
