Kingdom of Heaven 2005
I think about this movie a lot and had to rewatch it. I love history where decent leaders exist. Where battles do not have to be fought and pride is set aside. Giving the actual history a read has its own charm, but on film it is beautiful. Edward Norton did a phenomenal job as King Edward. He did not overact his lines, and with every small gesture behind the mask he delivered meaning. Absolute cinema, so glad I watched the directors cut.

Christian Slater plays the role of a shy-boy anarchist well, definitely a contrast from his out-the-gate Heather's role. But I honestly don't know how I feel about this movie. The message probably would've crossed over to me better if Mark was a little more likable. I mean, he's a total dick to his parents who seem like nice people, and in real life, an absolute wuss.
