I quite enjoyed this movie!
Jeremy Saulnier does *not* shy away from gore, and it's fantastic, even if some parts are more "oh what the fuck?" than "oh holy shit!"
Exposition was rather chaste, but hey it was necessary! It was enough to establish where the band was at mentally, physically, and financially, and it gave reason to why they were in such a sketchy place to begin with (not to mention how surreal it was having a horror movie…Translated from by -

Oh my gosh, this movie is amazing! I watched the director's cut with my friend, and holy hell I was sucked into it the WHOLE time. I honestly can't imagine how they cut those scenes out in the theatrical release; it was that good! Nothing felt unnecessary or long winded.
This movie deserved WAY more recognition and hype than it got, and it is ironic that Doctor Sleep got.. well... slept on. Fantastic performances from Ewan McGregor and Kyliegh Curran.…
