  Interesting premise, some sloppy writing and a lot of messy camera work. This one kept me engaged and interested long enough for me to have a good time with this one - a good movie? Certainly not, but was just enough for me to have a good time.

  A truly wonderfully crafted film, with stunning performances all round. On the surface it all seems so simple, but dig a little and you find the branching roots of trauma and emotional damage - this film encapsulates this perfectly, so subtle yet still very powerful.

  My first Godzilla film, and I can already tell that this will be hard to top as I explore the rest. A perfect example of how to approach a creature feature film, by not putting the whole movies emphasis on the creature. Unlike most films in this ilk, I did not spend all the downtime counting down the second to when Godzilla next appears - the films tells a powerful emotional tale with some brilliant themes that level this film…
