Currently going through and watching shorts that got turned into features.
This is interesting. I hate the grind house filter, and the short film acting is grating but expected.
The practical effects are great, as is the costuming on art and you can see how he’s so effectively become a horror icon.Loses the most marks because of the ending. It’s just not as subversive as the director thinks, and if you play it straight it’s even worse. It reminds me of Martyrs but not in a good way, I liked Martyrs.

Absolutely insane that this launched a 3 film franchise that made bank.
The bones of art the clown are their but the rest of it is so irremediably bad.
Although presuming it’s a self funded low budget feature production wise it’s nicely done, but the first two “films” within the film just aren’t it. I don’t know who decided on that alien costume 🥲Translated from by
