  Dune: Part Two 2024

  A lot more narrative intention than the first movie, which made it more action-packed. Too bad I didn’t really understand much of it, what with the complicated family tree, unintelligible dialogue, and incessant ship horn blasts. The worm lore also feels a bit glossed over since the first movie… Why were people sledding on the dangerous sand worms like they were reindeer? Three stars.

  Pulls at the heartstrings, especially as we traverse Emma and Dex’s 20 years. Some questionable character choices and a slow start-mid plot, but these are mostly forgivable and forgettable flaws by the end. Four stars.
