Hubie Halloween 2020
First off, anyone who thinks this was made to purposely be the worst movie ever has never seen a bad movie before.
It's deliberately stupid but good-hearted. It often feels like it's aimed at kids though the humor is too raunchy for a kids movie, which I guess describes most other Sandler movies.

Fletch 1985
In middle school, I thought this was hysterical. I was disappointed to find I didn't crack a smile when I rewatched it a few years ago. Today I gave it another go after seeing "Confess, Fletch", which I enjoyed a lot. With lowered expectations, and with my wife who'd never seen it, I laughed more than last time. I realized that it's more of a pretty well-plotted mystery with some humor than a comedy.
If you come for a laugh-fest, you'll be disappointed. It's better to approach it as a light mystery, with a lead who is dangerously but humorously overconfident.
