  This was like one of those highly produced stage plays that Max Fisher puts on at Rushmore where the children of the academy are mimicking iconic scenes from Serpico. 

  Honestly, you’re better off just watching the original October 11, 1975 episode of Saturday Night (Live). The Janis Ian performances alone are worth the watch/rewatch along with some genuinely funny standup segments from George Carlin and a hilarious Andy Kaufman routine that stands the test of time alongside the real Not…

  Mufasa: The Lion King 2024

  ★★★ Watched 25 Dec 2024

  This was much better than the reviews indicated to me. Lin Manuel wrote some legitimately catchy songs (which is much more than I can say for Moana 2) and I enjoyed the story. 

  Anyone expecting this to meet or surpass the original Lion King isn’t being fair or realistic, especially when nostalgia plays such a huge role in that. 

  I’d see it again, whatever that says.
