Obviously the puppets are ridiculous and extremely toyish. But I’m trying to remember what it was like watching these types of movies when they first came out in terms of how realistic they looked. Like, were we able to suspend our disbelief enough so that the little dollies looked like actual creatures, or were we all laughing at their obvious prop-iness even in 1984?
