Barbie 2023
I meannnn what can I say about this movie? It was everything I love in a movie: it was funny, campy, feminist, subversive… It discusses the complexity of Barbie on a personal and cultural level in an upbeat way. I even thought about my complex feelings toward Barbie from when I was a young girl resisting feminine toys, especially Barbie. Needless to say, this is probably one of my favorite movies now 👗👠💄💝💅🏼
