Monkey Man 2024
Dev Patel does an admirable job in his directorial debut. The fight scenes are well choreographed, and the harsh look of India's underclass is shown closeup. Unfortunately, the film drags in the second half and introduces a subplot about a political leader and his rise to power. That story did not fit in the main narrative and the point was lost on me. A decent watch but not particularly memorable
