I watched this as I haven't watched any Gia Coppola films.
I enjoy weird LA films and there was a hint of that. The movie is definitely about naïvety and exploitation (and YouTubers). Andrew Garfield was energetic and gross in it.
I really enjoyed this absurdist bubblegum Lynchian stupid Stepford wives (compliment).

We watched Van Sant's masterpiece for our third film for our Mondo Queero film club.
It had been such a long time since I had seen this movie and it was a pleasure to get to watch it with a group of queer folk.
The film just looks beautiful: the shots of the roads, the barn drop(!), Keanu and River on a motorbike (!).
River Phoenix's performance as Mike is just so heartbreaking and Keanu's Henry IV-inspired Scott infuriating.
