I got major Dr Strangelove vibes. The preaching philosophical value/questions was not subtle, and the tongue in cheek humor was very Strangelove-like. My friends I saw it with did not enjoy it. It’s very slow and mostly an examination of the human condition, than it is a comedy or action film. Hardly anything “happens” until the end which may prove to be too high brow and boring for many.

Robert Pattinson is pretty amazing, though. To me this is a hallmark role he will forever be known to me as.

It was an enjoyable multi-layered mystery that I found more enjoyable than an Agatha Christie romp. Though for the life of me I couldn’t remember Magneto’s real name throughout the whole movie which quite bothered me. Xenk was my favorite in this movie.

Magneto’s utter lack of natural charisma made the premise of his marriage hard to believe, which took me out of it at several times. But by the end I enjoyed the resolution. I think the side characters could’ve been given more moments to grow/shine, but it was still a solid movie.

Dang. I was disappointed. Mostly because the reviews were SO bad that I was hoping to have more of a “so bad it’s funny” vibe. Sadly it didn’t meet that need. So like most people have said: it’s a bad movie, so I’ll highlight what I did like:
I did LOL once for an ambulance scene.
The licensed music choices were straight out of my iPod, even the end credits. 🧑‍🍳😘
Chekhov’s CPR was so painfully telegraphed it was funny.

    Watch at your own risk.

Not sure what I expected, but it’s well made. Really witty dialogue, and amazing performances by Uatu and T’Challa’s uncle. I wish the plot moved forward a little faster and that the main gimmick had more of a focus earlier and often, but it’s still entertaining overall.

I liked it, but didn’t love it. Probably wouldn’t see again but glad to have seen once.
