i absolutely LOVE watching kid's film and tv shows!
this film was just PERFECT for me. they protected friendship, took the time to build two great storylines, maintained the lead character's ambitions, debunked the jock myth, had the nervous kid take charge and win for once, the most popular girl in school is black :') and extremely nice (black girl + white dark haired boy = success, fueling my dreams even further), had realistic reactions and responses to all situations arising.
I applaud the production, direction, editors, the whole crew and the cast! this movie is a the top of my list, will probably rewatch constantly.

touching. engaging. moving. this film feels like such a big love letter to the deaf community, and i'm here for it! the fact that emilia learn ASL and singing for 9 months for this movie is incredible! her signing is so beautiful specially when she is interpreting the final song.
