flopianna… and i mean seriously. i haven’t seen a movie so unconcerned with its own plot and internal logic in a long time. felt like the writers wouldn’t trust their audience to understand a character’s feelings/motives/beliefs without a giant neon sign spelling out the point at least three times over. every joke they gave to glinda and her bitchy friends could’ve been ripped straight from a shitty snl sketch, and ariana’s performance felt overwrought and forced, not to mention the fucking hair flipping. like her neck did not relax once in this whole movie. cynthia erivo was the only good thing in this 3 hour slog

gorgeous gorgeous movie! everyone brought their A-game, actually acted for their fucking lives!! can’t stop thinking about ellen’s longing and loneliness being so fucking powerful that it summoned death, plague, and malevolence itself, ensnared it and bound them together forever. like that’s fucking gothic romance baby!!!
