Had to watch this movie a second time shortly after the first time just to feel the thrill again. Great movie. Great performance of Pattinson and the other half of the Safdie brothers. Also realistic depiction of life in 21st century New York (migration, acid and mental health).

Was looking for movies similar to Good Time and this movie was recommended. I’m actually starting to dig Gosling’s acting. Also cool choice of music, epic cars and adrenaline-inducing driving scenes!

Intriguing movie. The use of the supernatural to make a social critique reminds me of Us or Get Out. The acting of the main character is impressive and I think that the characters overall realistically depict characters you would find in contemporary Senegalese society (middle-class young girl, real estate mogul, thirty-something that made it in Italy, working-class young boy, etc.).

Story-telling is also good, although one 'gets' the plot midway the film, so no surprises towards the end.

Also beautiful writing, especially the poetry-like voice-overs. I had to save one.

Sick aesthetics, love the colours and lighting.

Gosling was annoying at times, Sylvia Hoeks nailed it
