I think Deadpool is a great character. But in this and the first film, I wanted him to go further, push deeper and darker into the meta. But maybe that's asking something of the character that's not been there in the comics. I don't know.
Also, this is a surprisingly bleak film when you pull away the anarchic glitter. Loses his wife, as does Cable, is suicidal and actually achieves it by the end, and there's child abuse. Kinda bummed me out a bit by the end.

A long wait for the appearance of the Big Bad Thanos, but worth the wait. Keen to see it a 2nd time as was nervous throughout that certain characters - Cap and Thor - may not make it through alive. When that didn't happen I wasn't that fussed about the carnage at the end as seems obvious most of them will be bought back in some form!
An impressive feat to pull together so many stories and characters and balance them so well.

A film of two halves, the first of which I preferred. That half looked at the casual racism of liberally minded people in a range of small, insightful ways. The second half's descent into slasher-thriller lost the potency of the theme a little for me. It was there, just obscured a bit by the violent hacking going on!

Great acting throughout. And the scene with the gardener running at night will stay with me forever!
