  I had little idea of what to expect going in and was pleasantly surprised at how the seemingly simple premise felt refreshed and new here. The movie was constantly throwing wrenches in the works whenever it threatened to stagnate and the last act was pretty great.

  This movie came out of nowhere for me and was way better than I expected it to be based solely on the thumbnail of it that I saw on Shudder.

  I was expecting a found footage, POV-style movie with some hopefully decent jump scares, but basically basic throughout.
