What can really be said about this masterpiece that hasn't already been said? It's pretty much a perfect film from start to finish. Excellent cinematography, buildup (the fact that the shark remains unseen for the majority of the movie is a vital part of what makes it so great), and nailbiting suspense, fantastically well-written dialogue and characters, the practical shark still looks pretty convincing to this day, and the music is iconic.
A brilliant and thrilling film.
