  There are few Oscar-winning movies that actually deserve to hold the title of Best Picture, but it is safe to say that Bong Joon-ho’s Parasite is definitely one of them.

  It was also the first non-English movie to win best film, as well as winning best director and best original screenplay.

  This film does a beautiful job at embracing awkwardness, which is truly an art.

  I love the way Bresson allows his viewers to become a little uncomfortable by letting his shots go on just a little too long, and by including scenes (such as entire musical numbers by street musicians) that could have ended up on another film's cutting room floor, in the name of entertainment or brevity.
