This was a great movie that left me extremely confused. The acting particularly Gyllenhaal's was superb and the score I think added a lot to the emotional depth of the movie. Really enjoyed the suspense, and unpredictablity of the movie. Also honestly had a few moments that were quite funny. The theme of the difficulty in trying to find your place in the world and knowing what to do I think sticks out to me the cleanest. Francis Ford Coppola…

Did not expect to like this, but honestly was a lot of fun and much better than it has any right to be. Very over the top and ridiculous with jokes that were hit or miss but a high enough density that definitely got a few chuckles out of me. Acting outside of Jim Carrey wasn't great but man Jim Carrey can act. Voice actors also did a solid job particularly Keanu (who I'm not even a fan of as an actor!). Third act and the action sequences in general were fantastic, emotional depth was definitely also much more than I expected it to hit.

A beautiful movie on bitterness, duty, family, honor, class, and love. The movie makes you question what attitudes and preconceptions you bring in how you treat others, your expectations of them, and whether following the rules and "doing the right thing" is what is actually best for people. The relationship between Giamatti and Sessa's characters is one of flawed characters who at first seem inherently unlikeable. With the help of Randolph's character bringing out the best in both of them…

Have been extremely bad at using my letterboxd but Scorsese brought me back. After hours was thrilling and suspenseful throughout. An absurd movie that didn't have any message and just perfectly did what it set out to do. Funny, suspenseful, and just a blast. The camera work added a ton to the movie and the acting especially Dunne's fantastic
