  this movie was great. i liked it a lot.

  it was intresting and horrifiyng.
  the movie handled an intresting topic pretty well i think.
  it was far from perfect but when the movie did something nicely it really did it well.

  i dont recommend it if you dont want an "artsy" watch.
  but if your open for something new its a nice watch!

  there were times i felt a little bored and confused but when the suspense bit the boring parts became incredebly dreadfull.
  sometimes the topics even made me un easy!
  and thats great!
  thats what a thriller should do.

  also the acting was great.

  would whole heartedly recomend
  again the visuals were out of this world!
  teh story was good too pretty basic stuff nothing too mind bogling

  Akira was honestly mind blowing.
  This movie was released in 1988, 1988! and it has the best visuals ive ever seen in an animated movie ever! i really loved the art style the movie was going for. The towering futuristic sky scrapers neon lights, this movie is truly a pioneer of its time. it pretty much started the whole "cyber punk" era of movies. all though first i found the character designs a bit off putting but at the end…

  the movie was good.
  charecters were ok. some were great some i found anoiyng.
  same with the plot pretty generic. wasnt exactly the most unique one ive seen, when the message was literally "friendship is magic"
  but were the film really broke throught was its amazing and unique visuals.
  it took a more modernized style to its animation, but succeeded at keeping the fairytale theme going.

  if it was for the characters and plot only i would have rated it a 3/5
  but the visuals upped it to 3.5/5
  great job dreamworks.
