The Fall Guy is actually a clever title and it serves as a double entendre of sorts. It refers to the dangerous profession of being a stuntman and it refers to the main protagonists’ predicament. Ostensibly, this is a remake of a TV show from the early 80’s that I’m not familiar with. Anyhow I thought this was a pretty good movie with some serious flaws. But I will talk about that later.

Sadly, Twisters is going to be yet another legacy sequel I’m going to soon forget after I log it. It’s not good or bad it’s just perfectly serviceable. At first I thought it was my millennial nostalgia getting the better of me. But no I still prefer the 1996 original film. I think my biggest problem with the sequel is that it takes itself way too seriously.

Taking a hokey idea like the invisible man and making it creepy is no easy feat but this movie succeeds. It helps that you sympathize with Elizabeth Moss' character from the beginning.
