loved this movie so much! i love when coming of age films perfectly capture the awkwardness and discomfort of outgrowing old friends and trying so desperately to find out who you are and where you fit in. love seeing the way he interacts with his mom at the end after his first day of high school because i really feel like you can feel the tension disappear compared to their earlier interactions. also real af sibling relationship! what a good watcy!

finally finished this movie in honor of miss michelle and pls i think this is the most sad ive ever felt during a movie i dont think ive ever felt so awful for so many characters all at once my soul is irreparably broken #brokenforever idk lf l can ever watch this movie again tho no shade and i probably need to go watch a disney movie to cleanse myself immediately
