There were some interesting ideas buried in there somewhere but otherwise it was pretty tropey and frankly boring. really great end scene, just wish the rest of the movie competently built up to it.

Wonderful film in the vein of Before Sunrise, or more recently, Past Lives.
Agree with other reviews, the overly dramatic "twist" scene at the end felt both rushed and out of place in a film that spent the whole time building off natural tension.
Also, I'm not sure if the twist even makes sense, given the plotting of the film. They don't hate each other, they still have chemistry, and as the film reveals, they had immense and deep love…
