god loves you, he really, really does

jessica and andrew carry this film, but i do think it could’ve benefited from some additional editing.

also, *maybe* we can get actors that look like people without so much prosthetics, just a thought!

t's not our fault, Noa, it's always theirs.

fresh is cute, the actors carry a lot of it, when the script allows them to be. is it a little bit reductive about the black friend trope? yes. is it reductive about the way women are predated on when they’re just living their lives? yes. but this is a horror movie and reductive is what i’ve come to expect from horror.

also, all of this would totally work on me so yes im weak

    this was a shit show.

the only redimible quality of this steaming pile of trash is Zoe Saldana, and not even her performance makes up for the two hours of my life i waited on this insensitive, misogynistic, racist amount of clips i’ve seen awards called a movie.

french people would be pulling out guillotines if anyone made a film this bad about them, but we’ve allowed them to be the end all be all of arte and this is what we got.

    oh.

this is so in your face it makes you believe you might be stupid not to get it but unfortunately some people won’t and i think that’s okay.

demi moore and margaret qualley perform masterfully in these roles and the loose plot gets some meaty context bits that make this a story you want to follow, and the body horror is as grueling as you fear (sorry to my friends…
