UUUUGHHHHHH, deserves to be called a staple of indonesian romance. AADC wanted to mark a new beginning for a nation’s youth, and MARKED they did- the dialogue transported me back to an indonesian high school jam KBM fr. charming and witty, my feet were kicking & reacting at all the cheeky naive teenage convos (as if mereka temen temen gue sendiri). kids being kids OFCCCC they had to use the miscommunication trope but GPP LOWK REALISTIK KOK.

at times, the dynamics between the swans (women) and the frogs (men) in this movie were kind of 🤨 (FUCK HASAN). some of the relationships that were supposed to be turning points were under developed. nonetheless, the dialogue is extremely witty and smart! the costume department did a GORGEOUS job. the girls are charming and bright, with each asrama dara girliepop having their own distinct personality. overall, a sweet slice of life about 1950s indo girlhood! 💐💌💓 # stan bu kosan overprotective aka bu siti ma qween
