Mickey 17 had the right idea about how to present a perfect example of what can go wrong when ethically and morally questionable practices get into the hands of the wrong people while also including the classical satire of society and politics that Bong Joonho favours, but overall the ramped up satire in this is what made it fall flat for me in the end.

Was I not really surprised when it was revealed who the killer was and thus it wasn't really a mystery for me? Yeah. Was I having fun watching this and enjoying an elaborate cat and mouse game featuring Grant and Kelly looking all beautiful in beautiful settings? Yeah.

Overall Hitchcock isn't really making mysteries about the who but rather the how and why, and I think this one despite not revealing the real who until the end still did a beautiful job of giving the viewer everything they need to watch a great film.

Loved this film and in my opinion it did a fantastic job of setting up suspense, having a great setting with the ship to get the isolation and helplessness across and overall the actors did a good job. Plus I like seeing more unsettling and less human-like vampire/Dracula media. In my opinion a solid horror and vampire film, so I think everyone should at least give this a try.

Going into this not knowing anything about this was the best thing I could've done hands down. Delightful Hitchcock film about a dinner party gone very very wrong with the best morbid humour I witnessed in a bit and very great acting performances all around. Plus homoerotic subtext which is the best subtext.
