In a normal film, Deadpool would be the villain and what makes him more than that in this one is love. Let’s not make any bones about it, Wade Wilson is a bad person and he’d be the first to tell you, a borderline psychotic who was dishonorably discharged from the Canadian Special Forces, he makes his living as a thug for hire. A girl calls him her hero, for putting the hurt on a stalker (and incidentally terrorizing an…
This movie is not so much the anti “Top Gun” as it’s anti-cinema… “Fire Birds” seems to be aggressively making every wrong decision creatively as if on a dare, squandering what on the surface seems to be a can’t miss proposition. There had been many military hardware adventure films through the ’80's, “Top Gun”, “Iron Eagle”, etc., but never one with Apache Helicopters. It’s an excellent idea, Apache’s are fascinating machines that work in tandem with smaller spotter helicopters for…
Watching a 1981 Roger Corman movie called “Galaxy Of Terror” I’ve never seen in 4K. James Cameron did the effects, production design, and 2nd unit direction and you can really tell. People who worked on it say Cameron directed almost all of it, this screams dry run for “Aliens”. Looks fantastic.

First lets put the respective Duels in context, chronologically. In the Prequels we’re looking at fully trained Jedi and Sith engaging in…
“I gotta do something here, I still can't believe it.” - Stinger
I haven’t seen this movie in 25 years and it’s interesting to see it through adult eyes instead of a teenager’s. I expected a shallow propaganda piece that was hi-lariously of it’s time with lazy acting coasting on charisma but shockingly, and I can’t believe I’m saying this, but “Top Gun” may be a legitimate iconic classic. Wait, wait, come back, I’m not done!
I didn’t expect this.…
