I’ll start from the end of the movie. I know the audience has mixed feelings about it, but personally, I found it really interesting and deep. The way Ani ends up being surprised that Igor doesn’t want to rape her and that he is genuinely interested in her—not just sexually—is really sad, but I totally understood the message.
I love that it ends with her having a panic attack after kissing Igor because it makes you realize she’s (obviously) traumatized.…
