I have not read the book yet except for a sample (which was very lovely! I will read it for sure soon) but this gives me the vibe that just too much was missing. The Elena subplot for example went nowhere. Some scenes could have been longer. And I know the novel is also told from Ari's perspective but the movie would have profited from showing us some of Dante's life in Chicago and his perspective overall.
I did like the vibe, both of the main boys characters and their chemistry. I did enjoy this despite its flaws. Really excited to read the books tho!Translated from by
