jacqueline durran deserves every bit of praise she gets because the costumes in this movie are amazing. first, the original 1959 barbie, the iconic striped swimsuit is brought to life. the hair is styled perfect and margo robbie embodies the style so well with her posing. totally hair barbie is another standout from the costuming, the pattern is so perfect. my personal favorite vintage barbie and barbie costume in this film, 1985 peaches & cream barbie, is done mostly well. her…

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse 2023
it’s a large step down from the first one. even the animation isn’t as cool. it was also very long, especially at the start it drags out a lot and could have been way shorter but still got the message across. i am also personally not a fan of cliffhanger movies like this: the type where literally half the story is in another movie. as soon as it started getting good is when it stopped.

this movie was not worth the time invested. boring, predictable, and long. could've done the entire thing in half the time and it would still be bad. i was told this would be good, because i enjoy psychological horror, and i thought "oh cults they could do something interesting here." but, if you've ever even conceptualized what a cult is, that's the entire movie. nothing creative. it's like they said "let's make the most sterotypical cult movie ever" and did that. don't waste your time watching this.
