It's very wild to watch a movie like this now, knowing it would never in a million years get a theatrical release today. It's slight, and extremely loose, but really satisfying. Winona Ryder never learned to smoke onscreen.

The Trial of the Chicago 7 2020
The truth is surely less interesting, and it's hard to watch any portrayal of Jerry Rubin without thinking about what a repellent emblem he became of the Boomer Generation pivoting from love to justice to absolute personal greed, and still demanding we revere them. But still, if you like British actors pulling off some high-difficulty American accents, and flawlessly crafted speeches tumbling out of the mouths of mere mortals, there's a lot to enjoy here.
In hindsight, I'd still probably prefer to spend an hour with gross, grown-up yuppie Jerry Rubin than the depressed, quixotic, and obnoxiously unfunny Abbie Hoffman. Was this a review? Dunno!
