For a movie called Akira, that guy is barely even in it. Overall, the animation and design in this movie are iconic — the filthy streets of Neo Tokyo, protesters rioting, biker gang chases, a bloody cop sinking underwater, turret-mounted hovercraft barreling through sewer tunnels, Tetsuo flying into space and destroying the laser, light shining down on rubble and ruin — but I thought Kei's speech and the ending were too abstract.
