Awkward, disjointed, REAL
A bit late to the party but everything about it should not work but yet it works out as so wholesome by the end…one of the better romcoms around for the awkward folk (I LOVE IT)
BREAKS STEREOTYPES AT THEIR ROOT
Brilliant camerawork, top-notch storytelling, a buildup that keeps you hooked, dialogues that catch the soul, acting that moves you, a homily that hits you hard and an ending most won’t be prepared for. All roles, no matter how minor or major, are played with a tension that translate seamlessly. Ralph Fiennes is inspiring.
Beats other Oscar nominees hands down!

Patchy writing, fails at telling any meaningful story. Shows good drive to move away from the tried-and-tested Dracula story but has no coherent subplots. Bill Skarsgård’s portrayal induces chills while all others fail at driving home any emotion. Even Defoe’s character seems to fall prey to the undercooked writing. Good shots and lightning but leans too hard into horror movie tropes. Ultimately, the most memorable thing about the movie is “But she will rave all night…THEN RAVE SHE MUST”
