it took me about 7 attempts to watch it, it feels painfully slow despite its deliberately choppy, fast editing. It’s definitely gritty, has some great violence and some standout dirtbag characters (Mads Mikkelsen especially) but barely any narrative or fleshed out sequences to make you care for any of it.

Nosferatu the Vampyre 1979
Love the intro which almost feels like a snuff film, with its shaky handheld camera work examining all the terrifying expressions held by mummified corpses. The music is also great, ambient and drone like, it really builds an eerie, sinister atmosphere.
The rest of the film after fails to capture this tone.
Scenes with any sort of dramatic impact are undermined by terrible, almost comical performances. Most of the films performances feel as if they belong to the silent era,…

No idea how to rate it, definitely an interesting film. Plot doesn’t really exist and the events that happen don't really have a point or overall effect - Morvern doesn’t go through any sort of arc
Tonally a little inconsistent, burial scene was great but felt straight out of a dark comedy, getting lost in Spain was another quirky, almost surreal sequence, her meditating in her apartment felt like a poetic art house film etc.
