There is more than what meets the eye here. My first of Kiarostami’s films, and it did not disappoint.
The theme of copies/originals extends into relationship dynamics and it was thrilling to watch. I oscillated thinking the couple was together previously and then that they had just met. The nameless was of Binoche’s character added to the allure of her mercurial and honest characterization.
