ukrainian and irish people have so much in common. unexpectedly, this movie made me feel seen. it’s an amazing portrayal of what it’s like to live through pain and darkness with dark humor, because otherwise, you end up endlessly sad. minus one star because i didn’t really understand the purpose of the childish graphic doodles in the frame, but it’s just not my aesthetic.
