A Brighter Summer Day 1991
A grim but moving piece. This is a heavy, dreary. Still, cinematically its very profound. I'm really into those, yet what I got was much darker.
I was not expecting the ending at all, it completely threw me off and was stunned until the final credits rolled.

Point Blank 1967
A lone wolf bent on revenge often makes a great movie and this one certainly delivers.

Woman in the Dunes 1964
I think one of the things that is great about this film is that it can be interpreted in many different ways. The way I see this scene is that these two human beings are reduced to a basic and purely human state.
When you strip away all the trifle attachments that come along with modernity, the way we identify ourselves by our profession, our class, our clothes, our ideology, ect.
All you haver are two human beings who succumb to the most natural of biological instincts.

Come and See 1985
This is probably the most bleak and depressing film I've ever watched.
There are no heroes, there is no glory, no happy Hollywood ending. Only absolute mayhem, carnage and horrendous things done to people by other people.
And its all witnessed through the eyes of an increasingly traumatized and brutalized boy.
