so narratively ambitious and appeals to goodness, hope, etc. loved this rpatz performance! i wished the existential questions of the multiple selves were fleshed out a little more and there is something a little feel-good about its political analysis, but it is still thrilling!

there is so much about this that is like yeah……that really is what it felt like. i think this movie leaves a lot of room for you to project your own experiences and feelings about childhood onto this, but has the specifics that give it so much charm and humanity (the fb security question asking you when you’re 13 who were your childhood best friends is crazy….). i was really interested in the feeling of race meaning nothing to you but sometimes meaning everything
