I can't help but see similarities between serial entrepreneur Fitz, a man with a lot of bad ideas, but a knack for finding money and resources (and a willingness to exploit workers) to modern Silicon Valley "founders" like Elizabeth Holmes, Sam Bankman Fried, and Sam Altman. It's a testament to Kinski that he manages to make this character fairly sympathetic to me. And maybe because Fitz does actually appreciate the arts.
