Fincher rarely disappoints. This turned out to be a pleasant surprise (minus some of the most brutal scenes. Expertly done but brutal and visceral).

Good thriller with captivating central mystery despite the familiarity with nordic noir tropes. Daniel Greg and Rooney Mara portrayed their characters excellently and really made me root for their success and relationship.

Too bad it did not get to continue as trilogy with the same cast and crew but it stands pretty well on its own.

What can I say that has not been said? It has been worth the hype.

Surprised how much it captivated me. Anything visual was incredible. This film has very strong visual identity. Surprisingly emotional and it achieves a lot with little dialogue or explanation of the world. Acting also was surprisingly strong.

I finally did it. It only took me two decades but I finally watched The Matrix and I must say…

It is really good. And despite some of the cgi, it still holds up well and is thoroughly entertaining and suspenseful.

At last I have context for all the iconic scenes. The concept is strong and Neo is a likeable protagonist despite not having too much personality (Although some of Keanu’s acting choices are positively silly but it adds to the charm.) Love the Agent as the villain in this.

Fun ride, what can I say, and iconic.
