Survival Skills 2020
Could have been good if they played up the ACAB angle. Instead made a half-assed point about how good intentions are incomparable with “the system” (not just police but domestic abuse shelters as well). Seems like it tried to be ambiguous on purpose and as such missed a chance to make a poignant comment on the function of the police in society in favor of a comic gimick that’s abandoned when the film takes its serious turn.

Horror comedy that doesn’t let the comedy get in the way of scares. Good story and pacing, funny and scary demons, a rat-faced metal head satanist, and two grandparents who are ready to do anything to see their grandson again.
