Persona 1966
I watched this late at night in bed on my laptop. I’ve been wanting to watch it for some time now. While part of me wishes I’d seen it much earlier, I’m glad the experience is still fresh in my mind. I keep chewing through some of the messages and themes being presented throughout the film, and I won’t go into it here, but nonetheless a phenomenal cinematic achievement to behold

Rushmore 1998
I didn’t expect to like this movie that much, but I was blown away. I watched the first two acts during the day. I went on to play civ 6 for a little while and got some food before actually finishing it, but was well worth the second wind. I was expecting something between I <3 Huckabees and Lost in Translation, which were kind of hit or miss with me, but this was really captivating and fun the whole way through.
