Don’t know what to rate it. TLDR: as Andrew said after we watched it: FREE MY GIRL!!
I thought this movie was immensely fun and very sad. Trying to decide if it was ever very poignant though. I admit that I do like this teetering between comedy and drama - I felt similarly about Anatomy of a Fall, heartbreaking at times but also light when it had the opportunity. Anora definitely is most effective when it reads as a screwball…

I liked when the boys kissed.
But seriously I thought it was really well done and totally exhilarating. The whole thing is a tennis match, and I loved all the different ways they reminded us of that from POV tennis ball shot to the bouncing back and forth in time to the pacing of the dialogue. Such a fun, somewhat unexpected, amazing sound track. Much to think about. Loved it. Can’t wait to rewatch.
