So much of this movie was heavy-handed. And I don’t think that it’s necessarily a bad thing—- but it gives this movie a definitely flavor that can’t be ignored.
“Okja” captured how powerless we are in the face of avarice. But peering into this selfish, swollen dystopia made me sick. I didn’t cry, but my soul feels wrinkled. I will never watch this movie again
I love you, Jake Gyllenhaal.
There is a LOT to dislike here—- but I had a good time. The script is RIGHT out of 2006 (Ashton included). But I also laughed out loud. So many on-the-nose jokes—-

I just call ‘em as I see ‘em. Should have been 15 minutes shorter AT LEAST.
This movie succeeds DESPITE Cameron Diaz's wacko performance. Maybe some people find her unhinged outbursts as endearing or believable, but I canNOT understand what Jude Law sees in her. She felt like the step mom in "The Parent Trap." But there's a lot to unpack with this movie, so here goes:
Pros:
-Cozy.com
-Jack Black being Jack Black
-The old man didn't endanger Kate Winslet
-Kathryn Hahn & John Krasinski
-Cameron Diaz's outfits
Cons:
-Cameron Diaz's outfits
-Essentially ZERO conflict
