This movie is 5% trippy 95% depressing. The main character is played by a non actor, which was intentional to make the character feel more realistic. it's a tough gambit to make and when it works it really works... this was not one of those times. An incredible world with too many characters, too many tropes, and an uncathartic ending. It is an extremely long and boring set up for the next movie, which doesn't exist yet. This movie doesn't have a plot other than "isn't the ocean nice" for 2 hours, followed by an hour of "na-na-boo-boo" for the last hour. it gave me a headache. it's the next day i still have a headache. editing this review to have 1 less star because i'm 6 advil deep after it.
