  Easily one of the most visually pleasing movies I’ve watched in a while. First act can drag a tiny bit but the last half of this is just STUPID fun. Really wish I could’ve seen this one in theaters.

  Starting on a Coen Brothers binge and I enjoyed this one a lot. So many great performances that I couldn't even pick a favorite. A bunch of weird, old slang that felt comedic at times yet fitting. Surprised I don't really see this come up much when talking about the greatest gangster movies.

  After loving the hell out of Uncut Gems I wanted to watch another movie by the Safdie Brothers and I kept hearing good things about this one. Somewhat similar to UG and while I didn’t like it as much, it was still great. The Safdie brothers definitely know how to get the best out of their lead roles, especially from actors who don’t have the best public perception. The first 30 or so minutes were gorgeous and I love their use of close up shots.
